Such as: news, wars, elections, economics, and even something crazier. You could find how it happens or how it ended. You should really make it out as something amazing even it sounds boring by your typing.

When writing a research paper, you want to find interesting facts about the topic. If you are doing research on something boring try to make it interesting by putting some humor in it, or putting some of your input. Almost any topic has interesting facts, so do some research before you start writing.
