To unhook the waterline from a refrigerator you first must move the refrigerator carefully from its position not to break the waterline hooking up to the refrigerator. Carefully take a wrench and turn it counterclockwise, dont forget to turn the waterpipe off or water will spray everywhere.

The best way to do this is to turn the refrigerator around and there should be a line there you twist and turn the back and then it should be free.

Before doing this task remember one thing. Shut off the water line first. Slide the refridgerator out and there should be a clear tube, or frosted tube of plastic, unclasp it (do not snip) and you should be good to go.

Turn of the refridgerator, then slowly pull it away from the wall and look for the water line. It should just unscrew like a hose.

Make sure your area is free from debris and clutter. Have some towels for gathering any water that seeps from the waterline. Find the water shutoff valve and turn it off. Using a medium size wrench, loosen and disconnect the waterline. Wipe up!

Locate the shut-off valve for the water line. Shut the water off, use a pair of adjustable pliers or small pipe wrench to turn it counter-clockwise to loosen and remove.
