Have him chew gum or suck on a mint. The chewing tells his body he's eating, even if he isn't, and helps his stomach get back on track. Also, crackers.

There is no way to treat vomiting because vomiting is not a disease; it is a symptom. His vomit is a sign of a more serious problem- seek medical attention.

Vomiting, due to an intestinal virus, is the body's way of getting rid of a serious virus or bacteria. Allowing the vomiting to continue is best, unless it continues for more than 5 days or so. It is extremely important to keep hydrated with water, sports drinks, and even pedialyte. Also eating small amounts of bland foods is okay.

First, I would call a doctor. But if you want a remedy the best I've found, which was recommended when I was pregnant, is emetrol, an OTC drug.

Pepto Bismol or a generic brand works GREAT. If it continues for more than 7 days go to a doctor. Also, eat bread and lay on your right side.
