Remove stinger with blunt object like butter knife.Wash with soap and water and compress with ice. Treat the sting with 0.5 or 1 percent hydrocortisone, available at nearby drugstores.
Make sure you pull the stinger out if it hasn't already fallen out. All wasp stings are generally the same. Next get some baking soda and apply it to the sting. This will relieve pain and irritation.
