You have to start exercising. Cariovascular work (jogging, cycling, swimming, etc) should be your main focus, but you should also include a wieghtlifting program that emphasizes lots of repetitions of lower weights.
Join the YMCA or a gym. There are trainers who are trained in this field and will help you with different excerises just for toning. There might be tapes at the library that you can do at home.
The secret is to do lots of repetitions. You don't have to work out with a lot of weight. Repetitions tone muscles, and weight builds muscles. If you can do cardio three times a week for 30 minutes, it will also make a huge difference. This will get you fit quickly!
