Knuckleballs are legal in all sanctioned baseball leagues. There are as many ways to throw it as there are pitchers in the Major Leagues. Some put their 3rd and 4th knuckles on the ball face and hold the ball by the inside of their index and pinkie fingers. The key is throwing the ball without spin.
