They are a little hard to miss. They usually grow near your lips and can either be red an painful, a lot of tiny bumps that are filled with a yellow fluid, or they break open and puss comes out of them. They can also be found on your gums, which is not fun to get. Easy to cure.

It will be very sore, last over a week, and itch or burn. It is painful to the touch and blisters over before going away.

Some people can tell that they are getting a cold sore because they feel pain around their mouth. When a cold sore appears it looks like tiny red blisters clustered around the mouth. In a few days they usually break open and leak out a clear liquid then scab over.
