How do you tell how many amps a fuse has?

Is there a code or something?

All fuses are labeled for easy identification by users and repair technicians. Typically, on the outward facing side - where the rest of the print is located - will be a number that has an 'A' suffix [5A, 10A, 25A, etc.]. This is your amperage rating. Glass tube fuses will have the amp stamped on either metal end cap.

Most of the time a fuse has the maximum amps on it. But if there is just a color, look at the packaging and it will tell you.
