If your fuse box supports 20 amp fuses can you replace one current 15 amp fuse with a 20 amp fuse?

Short answer, yes. However, Current flows may be cut off as a result of too much amperage. This is what's know as "popping a breaker."

No, if the box has been wired for 15-amp fuses in that slot, use 15-amp fuses. If you believe that 20-amp fuses should be used, ask a licensed electrician.

It depends on what that fuse is connecting. If the device that fuse is protecting is only rated for 15 amps, your device could be fried before your fuse blows.

Although you can do this and the circuit will still work it is not recommended since the fuse will no longer be doing what its intended purpose was.
