How do you strip wallpaper?

The first step is attempting to peel it off. If you are lucky, the wallpaper will come right up in long sheets off the walls. If you are not so lucky, there are plenty of chemical and manual tools at local hardware stores that will help you remove the paper.

Try pulling it from a corner with your hand. Some wallpaper is designed to peel off easily. Use warm water mixed with some dish soap and apply it to the wall. Use a paint scraper to gently remove the backing from the wall until you get to the sheet rock. Use sandpaper to remove remaining glue.
