The refrigerator fan motor might stop working because of dust accumulation, removing the dust can solve the problem. If the problem still persists, the motor should be examined thoroughly for lose circuits and broken wires. The fan motor might get damaged because of water leaking also, in this situation the motor has to be replaced.
