How do you replace a Maxima battery?

You need to disconnect the negative side first using a socket, then the positive. Clean the connectors with a cleaning kit and install the new battery.

when you have found the battery, remove the black wire, ground, first. Then remove the red wire, positive. There will be some kind of battery hold down either on the top or bottom of the battery, you need to remove that then the battery is free to be removed. be careful it will be heavy and contains acid

Open hood of car locate the battery. Remove the brace cover, remove the ground cable (black or -), then remove Postitive cable (red or +). Remove the battery and replace.
