First of all you need to open case and disconnect the old fan from the motherboard (make sure you unplugged PC from the power socket), then remove old fan (it is attached by screws), attach new fan in it place and connect new fan to the motherboard. Quite easy.

It is easy. Unscrew the existing fan, and screw in a replacement fan in its place. Most case fans are a standard size with standard mounts. Measure the diameter of the fan and buy a replacement fan of equal diameter. Standard sizes are usually measured in increments of 10mm.
