First, make sure that you aren't trying to remove them during the summer months (June, July, August) because there will be large numbers of babies that can't fly. Spring is a very good time of year to try to eradicate them. If you know where they exit your attic from, you can try installing a bat house next the hole.

Call an animal removal service for advice. Don't try to do it yourself; bats can carry rabies, and some kinds are protected by law.

Depends on how many bats you have. If it's a big family, you might want to call an exterminator. If it is just one, you can try to catch it with a net.
