Three things to be aware of when bat shopping, first Height: Taller player, longer bat Second: Weight, hold bat in weaker arm, raise bat, if player can hold steady for 30 seconds, that would indicate a proper weight, and lastly when a player swings the bat one should hear wind.

My preference is Louisville Slugger, have used many bats and styles, but got the best bang out of these bats, just don't get worth, they are worthless.

The best I've ever used, and I've used many, is an Easton Synergy Clarity. It prevents sting to the hands and has the best composite and a long sweet spot.
