How do you remove a sticky substance from a wood surface?

There is a product "GooGone" and it works great on sticky situations. You can buy this anywhere. Read the back to make sure you can use it on oak.

Go to the store and buy a thing called goo gone it is fantastic it takes the sticky out of sticky things includint gum that has laid in the sun it even takes sticky stuff of fromm carpets and hardwood floors and it wont remove the finish on wood furniture.
