As with any antidepressant, there are all sorts of side affects that are possible while on it. Tiredness is one of them. But you have to realize that most side affects will go away with contunued use. Your body just has to get use to it.

You are going to want to take vitamin C pills. I felt the same way you did while on the drug, and this worked for me.

If it makes you tired you should take it at night to reduce any daytime fatigue. If that does not work, then you may want to consider talking to your doctor about your diet or reducing your dosage.

It might help to take it at night instead of during the morning. But you should also talk with your doctor. At this point there are many types of antidepressants and there may be one that will work better for you.

It may take a few weeks to regain energy after starting lexapro and it might be a different kind of energy. An even energy may be the result of this medicine and this may take some getting used to.

You may have to consult your doctor to see if they can put you on a lower the amount you take, or see if the doctor can help you find something that doesn't that doesn't make you so tired. The doctor can be able to help you better figure out something that won't make you tired.
