To reset your Ipod try holding either the menu and center button or the menu and the play/pause button simultaneously. Note that this may remove your customized settings.

Hold down the power button and the main menu button at the same time. Once you do this you will see the apple logo pop up, it will sit there for about a minute and then it will return to the main screen. This may not work with an older version of the ipod!

First, slide the "hold" switch to the right, then back to the left (locked to unlocked position). Now just hold down the "menu" button and the center button for a few seconds. Your Ipod should now be rebooting.
