You need a deck of cards, at least three players sitting in a circle, and one less spoon then there are people playing. Deal four cards to each player and set the spoons in the middle of the circle. One player picks up one the remaining cards.

Everyone sits around a table, with exactly one less spoon than there are people, arranged in a circle at the center of the table. You take a card and either keep it or pass it, when someone gets 4-of-a-kind, grab a spoon, the person unable to grab a spoon loses.

Spoons is one of the first drinking games I played. You need 4 people to play. Everyone gathers around the smallest table you can find. I remember putting the spoons in the middle, but keeping one less spoon than the number of players. Dealer hands out 4 cards. Object is to get 4 of a kind. Concentration is the key.
