How do you perform a gas tank filler tube replacement?

Disconnect the battery, remove tank from car,loosen the bolts from the neck, crawl under car and remove the clamp and remove the hose replace with new and put back together.

disconect battery for saftey. then remove gas car loosen bolts from top of the neck . then clawl under the car and remove the clamp .and remove the tube

Depending on what type of car you have depends on what needs to be removed. You should just have to unscrew that filler neck from the upper mount by the fuel door. Then undo the clamps holding the tubes to the fuel tank. (There may be more than one.) Then just slide it out and reverse the procedure to install.

Depending on the car it can vary and avoid sparks. The upper end usually has a flange that bolt to the inner body of the vehicle. remove all the screws hold in on then remove the gas cap. The lower end should simply be held on with a clamp. Remove it and slide the tube up and out.
