First you need to create the folder. Once this is done open the folder with the files in it you want to move in one window. Now open the new folder in another window. With both windows open side by side just click and hold the file and drag it to the new folder.

If the destination folder does not exist yet, you must first create it. Then select all the files you want to move (by click and drag your mouse to highlight the files, or pressing Ctrl while click and select your files). Press Ctrl-X to cut the files then go to the destination folder and press Ctrl-V to move them there.
