How do you add passwords on file folders in XP?

Click on the file folder and choose "Properties". Than choose "Advanced" and check the box "Encrypt contents to secure data". Save by clicking "Apply" and "Ok".

You cannot do this directly in Windows XP, but you can use another application called FolderLock. With FolderLock, you can set passwords and also choose who gets access to it.
