I need to make my own bbq sauce.

I have the world's simplest BBQ sauce recipe. (Just don't tell your guests - but they will love it.) Take equal parts ketchup (one that is relatively thick) and grape jelly. Mix thoroughly and add some hot pepper sauce or hot pepper flakes to suit your taste. I have also added Worcestershire Sauce instead of the hot pepper.

Two parts ketchup, one part mustard, one part brown sugar, a little worcestershire sauce. Example: 1/2 c ketchup, 1/4 c mustard, 1/4 c brown sugar, 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

Start with 2 cups of ketchup. Heat it in a saucepan. Then add about a quarter cup of chopped onion, 1 1/2 cups water, 1/3 cup of worchestire sauce, a 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1 tspn. of salt, and a dash of tobasco sauce.

I take 2 cups of ketchup, about a quarter of a cup of maple syrup, a tablespoon of vinegar, one onion sliced finely, 2 cloves of garlic, minced, salt and papper to taste and simmer all together for about 15 minutes.
