How do you make elf hats?

For the elf hats I have made in the past, I have used a commercial pattern (McCall's, Simplicity). Elf hats are typically green, but are also cute in the red and white striped material that is often available around Christmastime. Depending on the situation, you might be able to use the plum purple material also.

Elf Hats are a great idea for the holiday season, especially if you have kids on holiday who are looking for stuff to do. Cut some red and green felt into a circle and roll it into a cone, then glue it with a glue gun.
