You will always be able to tell when a shrimp has been cooked enough by the color. When the shrimp is opaque and curled, you know the shrimp is done.

Cooking methods vary, but for boiling, put shelled, de-veined and thawed shrimp in a pot. Cover with water, boil 3-5 minutes for small to medium shrimp. Shrimp should turn pink.
