Me Mum would say if he married you, then he's ready whether he thinks so or not. "Being Ready" and "Wanting To" can be 2 very different things. Many men can be quite ambivalent, but your instincts and talks together should be good guides.

The only way to know for sure is to ask him. You have to communicate with him. Let him know that you are ready to have a child and get his feedback.

I knew that he was ready emotionally when he got really excited after seeing a baby in church. If you are not sure, there is no harm in asking. Just be truthful about what you feel.
