If you get hairs standing on the back of your neck, hear strange noises where they should not be any or see objects levitating on their own.

Since a haunted house can't really be proven, you need to examine your reasons for thinking it is. Is it hearsay, or some specific reason? Also, does it matter? If you are trying to sell your house it may matter, but otherwise I think not.

You will have unexplained events, or just feelings. Atlantic Paranormal Society in Warwick RI will honestly debunk, but will also honestly admit "activity". Consult them, or someone similar, ie honorable.

If you have lived there for a while, you will know. If things happen that you can't explain, such as sounds, seeing things moving, or seeing a ghost, it is haunted.
