Only a professional can determine if it is truly authentic, or perhaps a Elvis historian. If you don't want to go either route, if you know who is selling it (trust) it might help. Also, you can look on various websites to see Elvis' real autograph. If they look similiar, it just might be.

Your best bet is to find a forensic handwriting expert that specializes in celebrity autographs. There are plenty online but make sure you check that they have legitimate credentials before paying. A lot of these guys will tell you it's legitimate just to make a buck so do your homework.
