I need to do it in an SBC 350.

The easiest way is to find a socket that is close to the same size as your freeze plugs. Apply a thin film of gasket sealer on the edge of them and then tap them in flush with the socket and a hammer.

drive a scrwdrver through the old ones pop out reinstall the new ones I put permetex the edges and set them place and get a socket about the size.
