Your vertical jump height is a direct correlation to leg strength. The best all around exercise to enhance the vertical jump height is the basic squat. This exercise is performed by placing a weighted bar on the shoulders behind the head and descending until the upper legs are parallel to the ground followed by straightening the knee joint.

To improve the height of our veritcal jump you should add power excercises to your daily work out. Some excercises that will help you to improve are hang cleans, step ups, and weighted jumps. Always consult your doctor before starting anything new in your daily work out. You should see an improvement in your jump with a month.
