He's been outside for all of his life. We rescued him.

Start out as if he were a puppy and take him outside after eating and drinking. After times of rough play. Use "outside" or "potty", he will pick it up.

You probably want to start with good leash training so that when you take the dog out on th leash they can make the connection to using the bathroom.
