Take the dog to the vet it sounds like there might be some kidney problems or possibly cancer going on that could be causing it the peeing is a symptom.
There could be a number of reasons for a dogs peeing frequently. Some commons ones are:
Urinary tract infection
Improper functioning of kidneys
Bladder infection
Diabetes
Well, a nine year old dog is at the right age where it may be losing control of it's bladder function. You would know if it was a kidney problem becuause they wouldn't be able to walk.
