Take him or her out every hour and when they use the restroom tell them "GOOD POTTY" and give them a treat. When they make a mess on the floor you say "NO" or whatever word you may choose.. always use the same words so they become familiar with them!

After you give them water or food take them outside immediately and wait for them to go. This is done any time after five to ten minutes after their last bite and drink of water. Don't allow them to have a large area to roam around unless you can watch.
