Skin fold dermatitis in Bloodhounds can be treated by using a combination of medications and general cleaning of the areas. Often times doses of Witch Hazel, Apple Cider Vinegar, or Sulfodene can help to treat the irritation. Even routine baths and keeping the areas dry can help reduce the symptoms of the dermatitis.

I have a pug who devloped skin fold dermatitis. I researched online a natural cure and it stated to give the dog a bath in apple cider vinegar with the mother. I went to my local health food store and bought it. I gave my dog a bath and it cured his skin.

It is caused by the irritation of the skin due to dampness of the skin because of the folds. The way to try to prevent this situation is by cleaning these folds and drying them.
