What can be done to treat skin removal from the roof of the mouth?

It sounds like you need a gingival graft. I have seen several different methods of care for graft donor sights. Some dentist like to put a putty packing over the site after tissue is removed. I have also seen a plastic splint made to be worn over the sight during healing. Or just the old fashion warm salt water rinses.

This is not something that you can do on your own. Please check with your doctor or dentist to take care of whatever the reason you feel this skin needs to be removed for.

Usually the skin will grow back where you need it to be removed. It will feel funny for a while though. Most of the time if something is removed then your dentist will replace it with something temporary until your mouth heals up. You do not want food particles to get in that area.
