Depending on the circumstances determining somebodies birthday could be as easy as checking their Facebook page. However, if such an option is unavailable to you I would suggest asking that persons closest friends, or perhaps their family.

You can get a newspaper or magazine that includes horoscopes. You ask the person when their birthday is, because you are going to check there horoscope. Simple, sneaky and effective!

there are a lot of social networking site where they display their birthday, you can check that. Also you can ask for their ID and check.
