How do you get your water heater to allow you to take longer showers?

Is there a setting I could adjust?

There is a finite amount of water in your water heater. In order to take longer showers, you need to use less hot water per unit of time. The only way for that to work is if you increase the temperature of your hot water heater.

most newer model water heaters should have a dial on it near where the hole for the pilot light is. if your water turns cold too fast it just means that the dial is set to a lower function. just turn the dial up to make the water hotter, therefor it lasts longer.
