Unfortunately the flu is viral and you can't really do much beyond rest to allow your body to fight the virus itself. Get plenty of sleep, drink plenty of fluids, take some vitamin supplements to help your body and take paracetamol for the aches and pains.

The flu can be treated but you have to wait to heal. Lots of fluids will help, as will some anti-virus medications. Rest is important, and Mom's would say chicken soup will help. Getting a flu shot is best to help avoid getting infected. Stay away from crowds, and hand washing will also help.

There is no way to get rid of the flu, only treat the symptoms. High temperatures and aching limbs may be alleviated with medication. Eat and drink healthily.

The flu pretty much has to run its' course which is about seven to fourteen days. You can find relief in over the counter medications that are especially made to treat flu symptoms until you're over it.

Take fever reducers like aspirin or Advil and drink a lot of fluids. Rest and don't go to work or school, and contact a doctor if it doesn't improve.

Unfortunately, the best way to get rid of the flu is to rest and let your body fight the virus. This can take time, but you will get better eventually. Next year, try getting a flu shot to avoid getting sick altogether.
