The best strategy for getting rid of diarrhea is to follow a bland diet for a day or two. At one time called the BRATT diet, it consists of bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, and tea. All of these are easy to digest which should relieve symptoms. Additionally, increase water intake.

Diet is the most common cause of chronic diarrhea. Greasy foods and foods high in fat can often cause diarrhea in sensitive stomachs. Reducing such foods can help decrease the number of episodes experienced.

It would depend on what is causing the diarrhea. If it is a virus, antibiotics may be needed to clear the virus out of the body. If it is not viral or serious, there are many over-the-counter medicines to help get rid of diarrhea.

well I have always found that the BRAT diet works really well... B= bananas, R= Rice, A= Applesauce, and T= Toast... eat just feed your child foods in moderation, for a day or so, and plenty of water.. because you know, they are loosing a lot of water... follow this and they should be fine

Recurrent diarrhea could come from viral infection of the stomach. This is fairly common in children. You might want to disinfect bathroom areas, particularly the toilet bowl, with something like lysol spray. This will kill the germs that are causing infection. To reduce symptoms you can treat with any number of over the counter medications such as pepto bismol.
