How do you get rid of a flabby stomach?

Someone told me sit-ups were bad.

Eliminating a flabby stomach first requires both time and discipline. Not only will you have to routinely perform cardiovascular exercise and a variety of core movements that emphasize all areas of the abdomen, you'll need to modify your diet in order to restrict your carbohydrate and sugar intake.

I would suggest running and biking. You can always increase or reduce speed. If you do not think exercising is for you, you should reduce the fat content of what you eat and eat less and eat healthier. You can always hike since that is basically walking. Swimming is also very effective as well, but learn how to swim first.
