Release on parole is granted to a convicted prisoner on the recommendation of the superintendent of the prison concerned for the good conduct of the prisoner in the prison. However, the concerned prisoner has to arrange for an outside surety by way of bail bond.

Early parole is often rumored when there is overcrowding or financial crisis in the prison system. Non-violent offenders would be the most likely to be granted. Other than this, prisonsers are released early based on their behavior while incarcerated, work done to address the offending behaviour and benefits of their reintegration into the community. It starts with a petition.

The word that you need to know about parole is contrition, remorse with a sense of guilt. If you are truly sorry and can ensure that whatever you did will never happen again, then parole is possible.

Parole eligibility is defined by the Department of Corrections, there's usually a mandatory date when you become eligible for parole consideration. The number one factor in determining whether you'll be released early is your conduct in the institution. Conduct violations will effect your parole more than anything else, along with your participation in "positive" programs inside.
