Lowe's does carry some HVAC parts as do most major DIY stores. The best bet would be from a local HVAC parts store listed in your phone directory.

you get a screw driver (whichever your ac uses) and start to take apart the ac one screw at a time but very carfully, make sure you keep all the screws and parts together on the floor same as when you replace a car water pump, if you loose screws go to home depot for more
