The best method is to restrain the cat, and then place Vaseline all over the tick. The tick will not be able to breath, and will exit the cat and can be removed easily. Don't pull the tick out, this can leave the head and cause infection or lime disease.

You want to use tweezers and grab the tick as close to the skin as you can get. Be sure to remove the head (it will be in the skin).

by using a pair of fine tweezers and grasping the tick as close to the skin as possible then pulling gently but firmly upwards. Do not attempt to kill the tick before removal and do not apply anything to the area prior to removal. Keep the tick in a jar incase the cat becomes ill.

To remove a tick from a cat, all you need is a pair of tweezers and a glass of alcohol. Take the tweezers and place them around the head of the tick, make sure you pull it out as straight as you can, then put the tick in the alcohol to kill it,leave it in there for about 10 min.
