You usually need to replace the entire heater core when the heat stops working in your vehicle. This can be expensive, although I do recommend buying a used heater from ebay or a salvage yard, as these are much cheaper. The new heater can also be installed by yourself if you have a couple of hours.

You'll have to get another heating core system. Its very expensive part so its best to look around for a the cheapest price both at auto stores or online stores.
