The smaller toyota engines have a bad habit of developing worn out valve stem seals after a few years use. The repair requires the seals to be replaced with new heavy duty seals.

yes this is a very common problem with any forighn made non american car, they are built so fast and without care that you do not get the quality as buying an american made car, if i made you a list of all the things wrong with them i wouldnt even be able to fit them in this hit

Usually valve problems are related to them being out of adjustment. Depending on how many miles you have on your vehicle, it might be time for a valve job and adjustment.
