How do you fix a shifting swimming pool?

Answer by  Jimbob (2275)

You would have to make sure the foundation has not had to much loose soil underneath of it. Then you may have to inject concrete to settle it.

I assume that you mean you have a shifting above ground pool. The pool is on a slight slope, it might not be visible to the naked eye but will be evident with a level. You'll have to disassemble it and relevel the foundation. A good foundation is best, conrete if you can.

The best ways to fix a shifting swimming pool is by digging trenches around the pool and filling them with gravel or calling a foundation company to fill it in.

Once the source of the shift is taken care of, repairs can be made. If it's a leak and you have a lined pool, the liner will have to be removed and the sand bottom replaced & repaired. You'll have to buy a new liner, though.
