Plug a light into a wall receptical and turn on the wall switch. If it does not light move light and plug it into the next recepticle and try it again. Do this until you find the correct receptical that turns on the light when you turn on the switch.

Bring in a turned-on lamp that works in another room. Plug it into each outlet in turn and flip the switch on and off. If the lamp stays on, move to the next outlet. When you arrive at the correct outlet, the switch will control the lamp.

The easiest way is to use a lamp or fan, plug it into an outlet and turn the switch on and off. Repeat that process at each outlet until you figure it out. You could also use a voltage checker and find out, using the same method.

With some sort of testing device check the devices in the room with the switch in the off position, if you find a receptacle that is off turn the switch back on to see if you now have power.

Plug a lamp into the outlet then try the switches until the light turns on or off. If the outlet is in a different room use a radio.
