If the outlet is in the bathroom is it a GFCI receptacle? This kind of receptacle has a reset button on the outlet. It may be that the outlet was temporarily overloaded and you need to press the reset button. You may also need to check the circuit breaker or fuse that protects the circuit. Lastly replace outlet.

If you were drying your hair in the bathroom you were probably utilizing a ground fault receptacle. These will often trip and they need to be manually reset. There shoiuld be a reset button on the receptacle you were using or one that is close by.

I would guess the outlet you are using is a GFI or is protected by a GFI. It is more than likely tripped. Just need to reset the GFI.
