How do you find out if someone has died?

First of all,try contacting a family member. If you have internet access you could look in your friend's town newspaper. Maybe a phone book could help you find the friend's neighbor and give them a call.

Verify the town in which the old friend currently lived, that you've suspected has died. The towns local paper publishes current obitutaries, as well as archieved listings for you to view.

Look in the obituaries of a local newspaper in the town where the person in question lived to see if the individual is listed.
