Einstein died 17th April 1955. He was 76. Cause of death was listed as an aortic aneurysm. He died at Princeton University Hospital. His brain was removed and preserved by Dr. Thomas Harvey. Einstein was cremated.

Albert Einstein is said to have died from internal bleeding. This was caused by the rupture of his aortic aneurysm. He was seventy six years old when he passed away.

Albert Einstein died on 17 April 1955 - 1:15 AM in Princeton, New Jersey. Cause of death: internal bleeding induced by the rupture of an abdominal aortyc ameurysm. Einstein refused surgery, saying: "I want to go when I want!" His remains were cremated and his ashes were scattered around the ground of the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, New Jersey.

He had an aortal aneurysm in his stomach that ruptured. He refused surgery and died.
